SHIRUBE II

Sale price$108.00

Description

Shirube.
In northern Japan, the Ainu people developed a culture distinct from the mainland.
They loved and observed nature, creating beautiful patterns inspired by it.
One of these patterns, found in the aiushi, features a design called the “thorn.”
Its pointed shape carries the meaning of warding off evil and offering protection.
It can also resemble a star, symbolizing watchfulness from above.
Like a star, this marker both signifies guidance and, with its thorns, protects the ones you hold dear.
